SeiMilano project – park, residence and offices in a single open space: this project was born with a view to urban regeneration, the first lot of which has already been inaugurated.
A place that “springs green from all sides”: this is the new garden-city in the western area of Milan, between via dei Calchi Taeggi and via Bisceglie, a work born from the collaboration between Borio Mangiarotti and Värde Partners. The work is expected to be completed by spring 2024.
The new SeiMilano park will be one of the green lungs of the city; it involves the installation of a rich vegetation, including 2,300 trees belonging to typical species in Lombardy, that fit well into the urban context due to their resistance to the city environment, to diseases and for their high C02 absorption.
But that’s not all: the aim is to recreate a sort of little “Po Valley“, following its same geometric pattern and inserting waterways, vegetable gardens and orchards.
Within this wide, green neighborhood, several spaces will be dedicated to daily life. In fact, there will be common areas for practicing outdoor sports, large play areas, a 3,000 m2 dog area, nursery schools as well as a multifunctional meeting centre. They will be available to citizens 24 hours a day and without fences.
There will also be spaces for commercial activities: in fact, the construction of three large tower buildings is planned, which will house offices. SeiMilano, furthermore, wants to be a residential district: there will be about 1,200 homes, proposing a type of structure that wants to focus entirely on brightness and large spaces, for example, through the creation of “high altitude” terraces.
Powerful busbars for great buildings
In this part of the project we come into play, proud to have supplied our busbars for the electricity transport in the inhabited area of SeiMilano.
Such large and majestic buildings require a product characterized by considerable distribution power and functionality at the same time. So, after a careful inspection, among the products in our range the choice fell on the K Series line, which is excellent for installations inside large buildings.
The K Series busbar, represented by the figure of a mighty lion, perfectly manages all aspects related to the thermal factor: it reduces temperature increase, allows heat dissipation along the line thanks to the black painting, has a high short circuit resistance and its internal conductors, in copper or aluminium, are individually insulated.
Regarding the practical aspect, it is not a bulky product, as its dimensions are very compact and can be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on needs. Furthermore, it is very quick to assemble, thanks to its few connection points.
